South of Fifth, also known as SOFI, is a small exclusive affluent neighborhood in South Beach (Miami Beach), which runs from South Pointe Park north to Fifth Street. The area is surrounded by water on all sides from the Atlantic Ocean to Biscayne Bay, South of Fifth is considered a peaceful oasis with immediate access to many of South Beach’s notable activities.
During Miami Beach’s early days, South of Fifth was a deplorable area that criminals and cast offs called home. It wasn’t until visionaries and risk takers took a chance and saw a potential for the strip of land and decided to invest. Because of their initiative and forward thinking, South of Fifth is now one of the beach’s most desirable places to live.
Today South of Fifth is home to some of Miami Beach’s most luxurious condos such as: Icon, Murano Grande, One Ocean, Marea, Apogee South Beach, Glass house, Portofino Tower, South Pointe Tower, Yacht Club at Portofino, Murano at Portofino, Continuum Towers, and Ocean House.
The area also features a 17-acre park and promenade called South Pointe Park, which features a playground, sprawling lush grounds for picnics, hills and walkways for outdoor exercising, direct beach access and one of South Beach’s most historic restaurants: Smith & Wollensky.
It is also home to some of the highest revenue producing restaurants in the country including: Prime 112, Joe’s Stone Crab and Prime Italian among others. This successful line of restaurants has led many other’s to take their chances at success. Unfortunately not everyone makes it, which has left opportunities for restauranteurs to get a space where kitchens and designs are already in place, which saves them money and time.
SOFI’s restaurant roller coaster can be seen by the closure of Cibo, Red Ginger and Il Mulino, but it brought new opportunities as well.
“Elite Parking welcomed new customers in the SOFI and we see more potential on the horizon,” said Managing Member Ruben Sanchez-Perez. “Porfirios was replaced by Planta which is having success! Tiramisu was replaced by Stubborn Seed. Café de Arts was replaced by Call me Gaby and doing amazing. The bakery on 1st street has been replaced by Seasins. There are also restaurants gearing up to replace Red Ginger and Il Mulino. We wish them well!”

Elite assumes parking needs of new SOFI restaurant, Call Me Gaby
Elite Parking is happy to announce that they will be overseeing the parking for one of SOFI’s newest restaurants, Call Me Gaby. Elite has quickly grown its SOFI customer base and excited to now be attending to Call Me Gaby’s valet service needs.
“We look forward to operating their valet parking service and providing each customer with ‘white glove service’,” said Managing Member Ruben Sanchez-Perez.
Call Me Gaby has quickly become the neighborhood hotspot for romantic al fresco dining, birthday and company parties, garden apertivos, family dinners, and everything in between. Their menu consists of a variety of antipasti, pizza, salads and an assortment of meats.
As the name infers, Gaby is not just about one woman but it tries to celebrate the femininity of all women. Owner Cathy (nicknamed Coco growing up), is originally from the South of France and always had a vision of a relaxing place for the neighborhood, where locals and visitors could enjoy good food at reasonable prices, with a sophisticated wine selection – and stylish surroundings.
The restaurant may be owned and operated by women, but there is an all-star team of masculine Italian chefs in the kitchen handcrafting pizzas; each one titled after a woman’s name.
SeasinS Portuguese Restaurant contracts Elite Parking to manage valet needs
Elite Parking is proud to announce that another SOFI restaurant group has entrusted them with the managing of their valet service needs. SeasinS Miami Beach is quickly becoming a SoBe hot spot among both locals and visitors. The restaurant serves a variety of seafood delicacies.
“Elite Parking always strives to cater to the parking needs of each and every one of our clients. Whether it’s a restaurant located in the busy SOFI district, or an exclusive condominium, we have trained our staff to provide only the best service to their clientele,” said Managing Member Ruben Perez-Sanchez.
SeasinS brings a Portuguese cuisine that is heavily influenced by the Atlantic Ocean and its abundance of fresh seafood caught straight from the sea. Their menu offers decadent dishes that are more than enough to tempt even the most seafood culinary aficionado.
